The Presidential Candidate of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has expressed his shock at the sudden death of the Member of Parliament (MP) for Abetifi Constituency, Peter Pepera Wiafe.
Mr Wiafe died at the 37 Military Hospital whilst recovering from a short illness, his daughter disclosed to Joy News.
Joy News sources disclosed the late MP died of a cadiac arrest.
Many party officials of the NPP have extended their condolences to the family of the late MP.
On his part, Mr Akufo-Addo took to his twitter handle to extend his condolence to the daughter and wife of Mr Wiafe.
“Shocked by the death of Hon. @PeterPepera, MP for Abetifi. My deepest condolences to his family and I urge them to stay strong.”
Before his death, Mr Wiafe was an industrial consultant by profession, as well as the Managing Director of Paramount Distilleries.
He served as a member of the Committee of Privileges, House Committee as well as the Trade, Industry, and Tourism Committee of Parliament.
